Ingredients
- 1 cup of rice
- 250g mince
- 1/2 packet of taco seasoning
- 5 tbsp salsa
- 100g grated cheese (mozzarella or cheddar cheese)
Method
- Place a pan over medium heat and add the minced beef. Cook, stirring occasionally, until it turns brown and there is no pink left.
- Sprinkle in half a packet of taco seasoning and stir well. Let it cook for another minute so the flavors blend.
- Pour in the rice and two cups of water. Stir everything together and let it cook for five minutes. If the water starts to dry up too quickly, add a little more.
- Lower the heat and let the rice cook for about 20 minutes until it becomes soft and fluffy. If needed, add small amounts of water to keep it from drying out.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Drizzle salsa over the rice and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
