Ingredients

  • 180g butter
  • 180g light brown sugar
  • 115g granulated white sugar
  • 1 egg and 1 egg yolk
  • 300g plain flour
  • 150g milk chocolate
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Melt your butter in an ovenproof pan and brown the butter.
  2. To brown the butter, you just need to leave the melted butter on high heat until it turns brown. For me it just takes 4 extra minutes.
  3. Leave the butter to cool for a few minutes, then add your white and brown sugar. Mix everything with a wooden spoon.
  4. Add in 1 egg and 1 egg yolk and mix into your sugars with a spoon.
  5. Chop up your chocolate into pieces and set aside.
  6. Sift your plain flour into your pan and add IN some of your chocolate. Set aside around 60g of chocolate.
  7. Carefully fold everything together until it comes together to form a cookie dough. Press everything down with a spoon and scatter over your reserved chocolate for decoration.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4.
  9. Serve with vanilla ice cream and nutella!
